CONDOLEEZZA'S
SILVER BULLET, by Larry Wissleberry
April 8, 2004
If I ever hear a lie,
may it come from Condi Rice,
or need a place to lose a care,
her office will suffice.
To
bolster our security,
she goes only by the book,
"Structure" is the best defense,
and no one has to look.
For
terrorists, unless they say hello,
the next time they're in town,
asking "Where's the White House?"
so they can burn it down.
Still,
I wish she'd made some extra calls.
maybe quizzed the FBI.
"Could all those Saudi students.
be hijackers in the sky?"
But
that would doubt the President,
his dream of a war in Iraq,
and if her silver bullet might come,
mounted neatly on a plaque.
