The Bush Lying Machine, a political statement in automata, by Andrew A. LaTorre

Fed up with the constant barrage of lies coming from President Bush, and the media's non-attention to the fact that he lies so much, I did what I could to bring this to the attention of my fellow Americans. As a former design engineer and professor of Industrial Technology, I used my life-learned skills to make a political statement. The following is what is written on the automata:

"Our President is Lying!
Bush Lies, Who Dies?
Is Lying a new Christian Value?
Or is it a "Compassionate" Conservative means of SUBJUGATION?

The instructions are two fold. If you are rich then you can use your secret key and pay no tax. All others must insert a quarter into the coin slot to start the machine.

The lying disk starts its revolution displaying about thirty lies that President Bush stated. As the disk rotates his mouth moves up and down. And then his nose gets bigger and bigger. At the same time the lies are shown, weird noises emanate from the machine as the lies continue.

There is a brass knob on the top of the machine which can be pressed to stop the lies so they can be studied. When pressed, the wheel stops. At the same time a sign pops up stating, "For a better way to stop the lying, VOTE Bush out of office November’ 04."

In addition to all that, in order to keep up with future lies, there is a container on the side for the continuing lies to be deposited.

The machine runs on 120v. and takes about 10 watts of power. It takes about 60 seconds for the disk to turn its full revolution. This is not any way near the time needed to read the lies. I am under the opinion that if one lies so much and so fast then the populace becomes totally confused and finally either trusts everything you say or just gives up and accepts their fate.

I will not become confused nor will I accept my fate at the hands of a lying President.
